COMPAGO – humanities go online

COMPAGO is a working environment for the presentation and the working with digital sources in the Humanities. It enables the scholar not only to view sources on the screen but furthermore to compare and relate sources to other sources. COMPAGO is technically based on the ALCATRAZ technology, developed at the University of Bern under the lead of Gerd Graßhoff.

The COMPAGO projects aims at bringing research projects in the web by integrating the related source materials into the scientific context of the scholarly work. This means in most cases the provision of several access options to the respective material, depending on the scholarly interest and the scientific aim of a project.

The website presenting the COMPAGO projects was created by Hans-Christoph Liess in cooperation with the persons responsible for the projects content.
